Licenses

The CD with the installation program is required. On the CD you will find the Setup for ADWorks, APPlayer, ADAnalyze and several examples. A detailed description of the CD can be found on the page CD page.
You can examinate the installed program without licence, but the following 3 features are disabled
A demo version of the installed program is available without a license. The following 3 features are disabled:
  - saving activity files (*.ADact)
  - saving source files (*.ADsrc)
  - creating compiled files (*.ADcomp)
Explanations about the extensions *.ADsrc,  *.ADact and *.ADcomp can be found on the Diagram of files on the ADW/ADP page.
The CD allows you to try out the programs and to look up examples.
 

License for regular usage

Two different licenses for regular usage are available:
1) The limited (small) license allows you to save activity (*.ADact) and source files (*.ADsrc).
2) The full license allows you to create compiled files as well. A full license has no restrictions.
Important:

a) The learner only needs a limited license.
b) The creation of a compiled files is a rarely used operation because the source document can be tested without compilation. A team can limit the needed licenses to 1 full license and the required limited licenses.
c) There is no additional charge for upgrading the license (new version of the CD).
d) The license is a username, which is needed for each PC. The ability to save *.ADsrc,  *.ADact, *.ADcomp files depends on the privileges of the user name entered in the license dialog box of the AD program on your PC.

Prices

 CHF 20.-      (about  $ 15)  for the CD.
 CHF 30.-      (about  $ 22)  for 1 limitet license.
 CHF 600.-   (about  $ 450)  for 1 full license.

A small school would typically need 1 CD, 1 full license and 20 limited licenses.
 

Discounts
 - the CD  (one) is for free of charge if the total price of the licenses purchased  is more than CHF 39.-
and
 -   5 % for orders between CHF 500.- and CHF 999.-
 - 10 % for orders between CHF 1000.- and CHF 1999.-
 - 15 % for orders between CHF 2000.- and CHF 3999.-
 - 20 % for orders higher than CHF 4000.-
 
 
 

How do get your license ?

1. Please send us your Email, with the following information:
    a. Last Name
    b. First Name
    c. Number of limited licenses
    d. Number of  full licenses
    e. See Complementary Option below (may remain blank)
    f. See Complementary Option below (may remain blank)
 

2. A reply e-mail will be sent, indicating the prices and payment options.

3. After payment is acknowledged, you will receive the CD and your username(s) for each license.

4. Click on the yellow Your License button of your AD program on your PC and fill in your user’s name in the dialog box. (Each computer has 1 user name). This operation will connect you to the Internet. This connection will register your PC as an regular user.
 
 
 

Complementary Option (Advanced Use)

The user of a full license will obtain a free Complementary Option. This option consists of inserting the validating menus of the compiled documents to your “Online” help, which means:
The reader of the compiled document (usually the students) can request help from the writer (teachers) of the document by e-mail. This can be done directly from the Validater menu, where the student questions appear. ADPlayer automatically completes the mail with the name of the student, as well as the name of the compiled document and the validater number.

In order to use the Complementary Option, you must
1. Provide us with
    e) the name of your e-mail server and
    f) your server’s user name when ordering your license.
2. Check the Activate Validater Online Help checkbox. This checkbox  belongs to the source document and is part of the Compiling Options (See File menu, General Parameters, Compilation tab).
